SHOW RESULTS

• There was also Peppermint Paddy RF+++/, Earl Grey++/'s Half Arab daughter (out of our Three-B-Rasheik++ daughter, Comin Up Roses) who continues to be trained and shown successfully by Leslie Lloyd, our extremely talented amateur  rider; also shown to the ribbons by Janie and by Tyler who has also helped us with her training.

• Then there was Leslie's beautiful Xceptshahn daughter, Atiah Zafar++ (Legion of Merit earned in 2011 - to be confirmed by AHA) shown to the ribbons by Leslie herself in the Arabian Hunter Pleasure classes.

• And then there was Ashley Barrons' beautiful Magnum Psyche daughter, Magvaleena, who turned in oustanding results with both Ashley and Tyler in Arabian Western Pleasure.

• And finally, there was our own Simply Unique RF, our five-year-old classically beautiful Pomerol daughter, out of Simply The Best, full sibling to Earl Grey++/.  This was her first year ever to be shown - shown superbly by Leslie Lloyd - winning the top ribbon each time, including Champion Purebred Hunter Pleasure at the Tulip Show.  This was the baby we thought would never really recover from some bad luck she encountered as a weanling!!

All of us are hugely indebted to Tyler Teichert, an amazing trainer and coach - extremely competent, thoughtful and kind.  It is with mixed feelings that we bid him adieu and wish him well in the next phase of his life's journey - starting with going to Law School (Western, London, Ontario) in the fall of 2011.  Without him, we would never have done as well as we have.  Good luck, Tyler!

In 2009, as a six-year-old, "Phoebe" has earned both her Legion of Supreme Merit and her Legion of Supreme Honor!  Her wins in 2009 include:

We have to congratulate Carol Colautti who so successfully worked with and showed "Paddy" to this year's wins.  Carol managed to accomplish this while at the same time showing and winning with her Half Arabian Western Pleasure Champion gelding, Exxhilaration.  Thanks a bunch, Carol!

We have always believed in form to function.  Earl Grey, as an extremely correct and beautiful halter horse, has had many Regional Championships and a US Top Ten Futurity Colt win.  Little wonder then, that his quality, beauty and athleticism are in striking evidence as he starts his career under saddle in 2008.  Although we believed his forte would be as a Western Pleasure horse, we felt Earl Grey needed a particular kind of show ring experience and we opted to put him in the Hunter division this year.  In his second show under saddle he was named 2008 Eastern Canadian Breeders Top 6 Purebred Hunter Pleasure horse. 

At the Finger Lakes All Arabian Horse Show with Jenna Colautti aboard, he won the AATR 18-39 class of 18 horses and was named Champion Hunter Pleasure AATR. 

At  the Region 16 Championships, "Paddy" again showed his talents and was declared Regional Champion Hunter Pleasure AATR 18-39, again under the skillful direction of Jenna.

And rounding out Paddy's first show season under saddle, on July 26, 2008, Edwin Thompson showed him to Region 18 Top 5 Open Hunter Pleasure.  He was actually first on one of the judge's cards (Scott Brumfield).

What a beginning to Paddy's first year in the ring as a performance horse!  A very special thank you to Edwin Thompson who has gained Paddy's respect and trust and a special thank you to Jenna Colautti for showing Paddy to his first performance championships.
